Helping fight hunger has never been easier.
The 2019 Big Blue Box Food Drive will be on Saturday, September 21. Just leave your nonperishable donations at your curb in any box or bag by 10:00 am and our volunteers will come collect it. Not sure what to donate? Check out some of our most in-demand items here.
We’re still accepting volunteers to help with the event. We need driver/runner pairs to collect the donations (if you drive but don’t have a partner, we can pair you up with someone) as well as sorters in the hall here at St. Vincent Place.
If you’re not available the day of the event but would still like to help, we’re also looking for volunteers to drop off flyers in mailboxes in the week or two leading up to the event.
If you can help in any of these ways, please get in touch today. You can contact Sara at 705-253-2770 ext. 4 or firstname.lastname@example.org
The 2018 Big Blue Box Food Drive was a resounding success! Not only did we have over 90 volunteers helping us at St. Vincent’s, the team at St. Jerome’s – which takes care of the east end of the city – was made up of another 30 or so volunteers. So many helping hands meant we were done by 2pm – the earliest finish yet!
And we broke the $30k mark! This year donations totalled $31,808 – that’s almost $2,000 more than last year.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out and businesses who supported us, and to everyone throughout the community who donated goods!
