Donate

Thank you for thinking of St. Vincent Place! There are many ways to donate to us:

Monetary Donations

CASH/CHEQUE - You can drop off or mail your donation to 222 Albert St. E., Sault Ste. Marie, ON P6A 2J4.

CREDIT CARD - You can make a donation with your credit card (or Visa Debit) through CanadaHelps by clicking here. If you require assistance with this, you can call 705-253-2770 ext. 202, and we can help.

EFT - We can now accept donations via e-transfer as well. If you'd like your donation to be put toward our food services (food bank & soup kitchen), send your e-transfer to vincentplace@shaw.ca. If you'd like it to be put toward our men's residence or put in our general account and directed to wherever it is most needed, send your e-transfer to stvincentadmin@shaw.ca.

No password is needed, but if you would like a charitable receipt, you must provide your name and home address in the message section of your transfer, or as a separate email. (Your home address is required for your receipt, even if you would like us to email you your receipt.)

Donate Goods

If you'd like to make a practical donation, we are always happy to accept items for our food bank. The following goods are always particularly in demand. If you'd like a paper or magnet copy of the below infographic, just get in touch today to request yours.

Our Lunches for Learning program is always happy to receive food donations to support local families in need. The items below are used for that program.

If you'd like to donate items specifically for the men in the residence, we are always happy to accept clothing, including socks and underwear. Some other great items to donate for the residents include:

  • toiletries, especially:
    • razors & shaving cream
    • toothbrushes & toothpaste
    • shampoo & conditioner
  • winter hats & mitts
  • small-denomination gift cards for restaurants, such as Subway, Tim Hortons, or McDonalds (when our residents help out around the building, we like to thank them with gift cards so they can get themselves a coffee or treat themselves to a take-out meal)

You can also donate goods to our thrift store. All items sold in our thrift store are donated, and those sales make up 15% of our operating budget. Learn more about the thrift store here.
